First Snow in Park City

Welcome back, old man winter.
It’s always nice to see a familiar face!

It’s been snowing in Park City, but we just had our first “significant” snow storm of the season this past Saturday, bringing nearly a foot of snow to our mountains.  This only means we’re well on our way to another epic ski season.  With fall colors in glistening, snow guns firing, and snow already filling up our mountains, that only means winter is on it’s way to Park City! It won’t be long now until our Resorts open for another amazing ski season, opening November 22, 2019.

Temperatures dropped enough for the Park City Mountain snowmaking team to start making snow.   Since the resort decides where the snow goes, visitors have access to even more of the resort. With 348 trails totaling to 7,300 acres of perfectly groomed land, that means that you’ll never have to ski the same slope twice.  They also have the largest snowmaking system in Utah and this Halloween they say the trails will start turning ghostly white.

Take a look at our first taste of winter video and mark your calendars for November 22, 2019 – opening day for the Park City Base Area and Canyons Village.
