Park City Mountain presents the 11th annual Park City Spring Grüv. For 16 days Park City Resort will be having huge, free concerts in the two villages, #CanyonsVillage and Park City Base, as well as the 21st Annual Pond Skimming Contest! It’s one of those traditions that has been wild from the start. The Pond Skimming Contest will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019. It is Park City’s most popular party and is the true indicator that spring has arrived. Contestants must dress in costume (the funkier the better) as they attempt to cross a 100-foot pond on skis or a snowboard. The pond and the excitement happen at mid-mountain just outside Red Pine Lodge. Must be 10 years of age or older to enter. Spectators will need a lift or gondola ticket to watch.
Celebrate. Compete. Watch. Ski. Ride. Grüv.
We had perfect spring conditions, a record breaking crowd, and some of the most ridiculous costumes we have ever seen. Relive all the glory in this recap video! Spring Grüv!
Kick off Spring Grüv with Pink Park City. This year’s fest kicks-off Saturday, March 24 with the family-friendly charity ski event Pink Park City to celebrate life and raise money for all types of cancer research at Huntsman Cancer Institute. In addition to skiing and fun in the snow, the day will also include a costume contest, prizes for top fund raisers, and a Checkpoint Challenge.
